Chase the Views
1. Walk Across the Ponte Luis I Bridge
One of Porto’s iconic landmarks is the double-deck Ponte Luis I bridge. From the bridge, you can get stunning views of the city with hill-covered colorful buildings and the Duoro River slicing through the city. For the best experience, walk across the top level where you can get these sweeping panoramic views. At the top, there are two metro lines, so be sure to watch out for any trains coming through and stay on the outer railings. The bottom deck of the bridge connect two lively streets, Cais da Ribeira and Avenida de Diogo Leite, both also included in this list.

If you’re already going to cross the Ponte Luis I Bridge’s top deck, then why not go to the Jardim do Morro hilltop and watch the sun set over Porto! This is a popular sunset-watching spot, so there are tons of people relaxing on the grass, chilling and waiting to watch the sunset.
If you’re hungry, you can grab a table at the Jardim do Morro restaurant for delicious food and unbeatable views. Or if you prefer something casual, locals often sell chilled beers and ciders from small coolers for a few euro. Perfect for pairing with the golden hour glow.
