My Experience at Cave of the Winds
Finding the Entrance
The entrance is located on the U.S. side on Goat Island. You will have to take an elevator down to the boardwalk to experience Cave of the Winds.
On The Boardwalk
Before we got on the boardwalk, we received free ponchos and waterproof sandals. If your shoes aren’t waterproof then I suggest getting the waterproof sandals, otherwise you might have to deal with wet socks all day (although I brought an extra pair just in case).
Once on the boardwalk, there’s only one direction to can take, so we simply followed the traffic and wooden walkways, heading towards the Bridal Veil Falls!

Bridal Veil Falls Drenching
Along the path, there are several points where the waterfall is pouring directly on our backs to the point of showering us! It was such a thrill! We can already feel how strong the waterfall was with it hitting our backs. I was definitely glad I opted to wear the waterproof sandals for these!
Then we followed the stairs up which led us onto the Hurricane deck. The Hurricane deck is pretty much RIGHT UNDER a portion of the Bridal Veil Falls where we got SOAKED! This is definitely a true immersive experience where you can literally feel the power of a waterfall.
If you’re visiting, expect to spend about 45 min to 1.5 hours on this experience.

That in itself is a true bucket list item. I hope this review got Cave of the Winds a spot in your Niagara Falls itinerary. Bon Voyage!
